Product of the Month: The Site Shack by Powers Construction

Aiming to challenge the stereotypes around grungy worksites and provide a pleasant reprieve from the elements for his workers and clients, Patrick of Vancouver-based Powers Construction created the “Site Shack.” This elevated worksite trailer is an 8′ x 12′ prefab structure built to be moved on a flatbed truck and dropped in the middle of nowhere with a crane. Its exterior is a durable weathered steel shell, while fir walls and benches create a welcoming, cozy vibe inside.

Inside, the shack is equipped with essentials like a wood burning fireplace, a desk and some shelving for storage. Each Site Shack also features a glass wall that allows a generous amount of light in. For colder days, the structure is built with a two-inch layer of outsulation. This innovative trailer is generating so much attention from local trades that Powers Construction is now building Site Shacks in limited numbers upon request.
